Today, I did the first 10 exercises, but I only listened to the instructions of the first 3. I figured that each day I will go in depth with a handful of exercises, so that I'm really mastering the technique of those few skills, while still doing more of the other exercises to warm up the rest of my voice.
I worked through the Lip Trills several times today because I kept blowing out all of my air at the top of the scale. My lips would stop trilling and no sound would come out. I could feel my throat tightening up for the higher notes which was blocking the air, so I'm working on relaxing more as I get to the top.
Healthy Meals- 1 and 2
Breakfast- Cinnamon Apple Oatmeal and an apple
Lunch- Homemade Salad
- Romaine lettuce
- Black beans and corn
- Dried cranberries
- Shredded cheese
- Teriyaki chicken
- Poppyseed dressing
Now I'm off to Symphony Space for tech/dress rehearsal! Broadway Dance Center is putting on a show next weekend, and I'm in Bettina Sheppard's choral piece. Anyone in NYC reading this-- tickets are $15, and I have 2 to sell! The performances are Sunday, May 8th at 4:30pm and 8:00pm. Let me know if you want to come see me on the big stage!
